PHOENIX - Devin Booker is the heart and soul of Phoenix, he's the backbone, and Kevin Durant is the Rolls Royce in this Phoenix Squad.

In game 2 of the Western Conference 1st round playoff series Tuesday night, The Suns beat the Clippers 123-109, Devin Booker, the three-time all star who so far has spent his whole career in Phoenix poured in 38 points with 18 of them coming in the third quarter, and his running mate Kevin Durant in a night where it felt like he couldn't miss from the mid-range, added a light 25 points to guide the Suns to the win to take the series back to LA one a piece.

Durant commented on Booker's stellar night post-game, “He's an all-around player,” Durant said about Booker. “He can do everything at an elite level on a basketball court.”

Phoenix still needs to start games better, as just as in game 1 they fell in a deep whole in the beginning of the game, a 13-point hole in Game 2. Phoenix's shots weren't falling early in game 2 either, which didn't help. However, due to Bookers leadership and all-star quality, Phoenix prevailed and now they travel back to LA with the series tied.

The game changed late in the 2nd quarter when Monty Williams told his team to draw a line in the, not letting the Clippers et their offense or defense up much or even at all, Head Coach Monty Williams spoke about the switch post-game, “People talk about adjustments all the time and we make them,” Suns coach Monty Williams said. “But sometimes basketball is just being able to sit down and guard the ball, keep your man from getting to the basket and contesting the shot."

The Game 2 standout win was the first playoff win with Durant in the lineup. The Suns had been 8-0 in the regular season since acquiring Durant from Brooklyn in February, Injuries only limited Durant to 8 games in the regular season. Phoenix pulled way in the 4th quarter, with never trailing in the final quarter.

The series travels to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Thursday night, Live on NBATV, 10:30 PM.

The Clippers were led in Game 2 by their 2 superstars, Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook. Kawhi, who followed up his stellar 38-point performance in Game 1 dropped 31 in Game 2, and Westbrook who had a great night offensively compared to his offensive product in game 1. Westbrook added 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Kawhi would have 31 on 11-20 shooting.

The Clippers didn't get as much productivity from their bench in game 2 as they did in game 1.

Westbrook commented on The Suns performance post-game. “We know it is going to be a tough series,” Westbrook said. “They came back and took care of business tonight.”

The Sun's core were just as impressive as The Clippers star duo, Devin Booker had a stellar game, pouring in 38 points with 18 of them coming in the 3rd quarter, on 14-22 from the field, including 4-7 from 3. Along with nine assists. Deandre Ayton contributed 14 points on 7-10 from the field, and 13 rebounds. Torey Craig the unexpected contributor from Game 1 added an additional 17 points in a night where it felt like he couldn't miss from 3. The Point God, Chris Paul last night who finally defeated his archnemesis in Referee Scott Foster. Paul was 0-13, heading into tonight in game officiated by Foster. Paul saw the 13 game losing streak snapped last night. Chris Paul was playing like it was 2008, Paul poured in 16 points and 8 assists on 8-14 from the field.

The Clippers hung with Phoenix most of the game, all until the 4th quarter. Ty Lue commented on the adjustments Phoenix made late in the game, “We tried to blitz. We tried to fire. We did a lot of different things,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. “They played great.”

Behind Booker and Durant's heroics the Suns evened the Series at one a piece as Westbrook's and Kawhi's weren't enough, The strong performance from Phoenix backbone and Rolls Royce force the series to travel back to Los Angeles.

The Clippers host the Suns at the Crypto.com Arena Thursday night at 10:30 PM, Live on NBA TV.
